Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences.

You’ll help students develop communication, social, and life skills in a safe, supportive learning environment. Hours are in-person, 8:30AM to 3:00PM, with pay between $22 and $28 per hour; RBT certification is required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required or eligible to obtain within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s in related field preferred per role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral and educational support in a school setting.
• Implement individualized programs and collect data to track progress.
• Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills.
• Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
