Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and other developmental differences. You'll help students develop communication, social, and life skills in a safe, supportive classroom.

Hours are in-person, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with pay between $22 and $28 per hour based on experience, certification, and education.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience with children with autism or developmental differences is preferred.
• Ability to translate ABA strategies into classroom support.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioral and educational support in a school setting.
• Implement individualized programs and collect data to track progress.
• Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills.
• Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
