Job summary

Building Connections Academy in Martinez, CA is seeking a School-Based Special Education Paraprofessional to provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and developmental differences.

This in-person role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with pay $22-$28 per hour and RBT certification required or obtainable within 90 days (training paid).

Qualifications

• Provide 1:1 behavioral and educational support to students.
• RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s in related field preferred.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
• Immunizations including MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral and educational support in a school setting.
• Implement individualized programs and collect data to track progress.
• Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills.
• Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students.
• Maintain a safe and engaging classroom environment.
