Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support students with intensive behavioral needs in K-12 settings across our network.

You will work under IEP goals, implement behavior plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to help students learn and stay safe. The role involves one-on-one support, de-escalation techniques, data collection, and close communication with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing behavioral interventions in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals in their IEP.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
• Supervise students and ensure safety during transit to locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to implement plans.
• Provide personal care support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
