Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a safety-focused, results-driven 2nd Shift Lead Person to oversee daily quarry operations on the second shift. You will lead hourly crews, coordinate equipment and resources, and promote a strong safety culture to meet production goals.

Responsibilities include conducting workplace inspections, communicating shift priorities, and coaching team members to develop skills while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental policies.

We are seeking a safety-focused, results-driven 2nd Shift Lead Person to lead daily quarry operations during the second shift. This role is responsible for supporting production goals, promoting a strong safety culture, coordinating crews and equipment, and ensuring efficient operations throughout the shift.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead hourly employees to safely achieve production and operational goals.
• Coordinate equipment, personnel, and resources to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct workplace inspections and reinforce compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Communicate shift priorities, operational updates, and performance expectations to employees.
• Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance feedback.

• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing, construction, or related environment.
• Strong commitment to safety leadership and fostering a positive safety culture.

• Working knowledge of mobile equipment, crushing operations, production processes, and maintenance coordination.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
