Description

Supports the training and operations functions of specific software applications including user account management, training users, and troubleshooting all aspects of the system.

Responsibilities
  • 1. Trains users on functionality and changes; routinely interfaces with users to determine and assist with issues. Assists with development of technical training programs, materials, and lab exercises. Assists with evaluation of trainee performance and the training program.
  • 2. Sets up and modifies user accounts. Updates case assignments following staffing changes.
  • 3. Assists with troubleshooting of software issues, refers unresolved system and application issues to technical staff; documents system problems and resolutions. Maintains activity-tracking systems.
  • 4. Assists with issues related to media and other files including upload/download of files/discs, audio/video software, and other file issues.
  • 5. Creates or assists with document templates, prosing templates, updating of various prosing codes.
  • 6. Participates in researching and testing of new software or updated features.
  • 7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education, Experience and Training:

Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program plus four (4) years experience supporting departmental applications.

Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Familiarity with standard office software, including template/fillable forms creation including Adobe Acrobat/ Nuance, web browser and audio/video recording software configuration options and settings preferred. Prior work experience/familiarity with department operations/workflow. Must pass a background investigation.

Individuals holding or considered for a position which has, or may have, access to criminal justice databases including the FBI Criminal Justice Information Systems, NCIC/TCIC and similar databases, must pass a national fingerprint-based records check prior to placement in such position and may be denied placement in such positions and/or access to such systems. Individuals must also maintain the ability to pass the records check while in the position or until such time that the Commissioners Court and the County Civil Service Commission deem this position no longer has this requirement.

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

Standard office environment. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
