Dallas County in Texas is seeking a court support professional to perform a variety of court tasks under moderate supervision, including preparing, processing and reconciling legal documents; scheduling hearings; and ensuring accurate entry of case information into the court’s official records.
You will serve as a liaison among prosecutors, attorneys, judges and the public, maintain strict confidentiality, and operate the case management system with accuracy while handling time-sensitive
Working under moderate supervision, performs a variety of complex court tasks for Judges, prosecutors, attorneys, pro se litigants, managers, supervisors, and other County Departments which may include: preparation, processing and reconciling a variety of legal documents and/or records; researching and resolving problems/issues; and interact effectively with the public.
May serve as the court administrator or liaison on behalf of the courts to ensure accurate and timely response and/or recording of cases into the court’s official records. Works within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures.
Education, Experience and Training:
Graduation from an accredited high school/GED program. Four (4) years job related experience or 60 college hours or a combination of the two.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to type 35 wpm or 70 kspm. Ability to operate office equipment. Knowledge of computer applications and standard word processing software. Ability to enter data. Knowledge of criminal justice system. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, organize, plan, and process work, and establish and maintain effective, working relationships with employees and the general public. Ability to make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Standard office environment. May require prolonged kneeling, sitting, standing, walking, and the ability to lift and carry files, boxes, and other materials up to 25 lbs., unassisted.
