Dallas County in Texas seeks an experienced IT professional to support the Software Delivery Life Cycle, collaborate with developers, users and support staff, and help maintain standards and procedures. You will participate in application design reviews and aid in documentation.
Responsibilities include analyzing logs, deploying releases, configuring IIS, managing access, maintaining the web portal, performing backups and testing, and taking on-call duties as needed.
Works with technical support, end-users and development staff to assist throughout all phases of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) as needed. Prepares, contributes to and/or reviews documentation surrounding requirements, technical design, and process flows. Works directly with the development team, partners and users to support business needs. Assists in the development and maintenance of standards and procedures. Participates in application design review.
Management Scope: May lead or provide supervision for development support staff.
Education, Experience and Training:
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or in a job related field of study. Three (3) years work related experience in systems analyses with multiple programming languages, multiple hardware platforms, operating systems, and database management systems including one (1) year experience programming using Transact-SQL.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public. Knowledgeable of standard concepts, practices and procedures of applicable systems. Able to program and configure dynamic views. Familiar with various storage devices. Working knowledge of all technical and managerial requirements of a large data center including data base administration, operating systems, utilities and procedures. Knowledge of mainframes, PCs, networks, specialized software, internet and office automation tools. Microsoft MCSE, MCSA or a CISSP preferred. Oracle experience and CDM or ICP designation also a plus. Ability to manage Countywide projects and multi-level committee structures is a plus. Knowledge of and a familiarity with current operating systems, advanced server troubleshooting, basic networking and SQL deployed applications. Experience writing SQL queries including SSRS reports is highly desirable. Must pass a background investigation. Required to be on call at all times.

Must have a valid Texas Drivers License and good driving record. Will be required to provide a copy of 10-year driving history. Must maintain a good driving record and remain in compliance with Article II, Subdivision II of Chapter 90 of the Dallas County Code.
Standard office environment. Must be able to visit various off-site locations. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
