Job summary

LHH is seeking a Welding Manufacturing Chief to lead welding steel fabrication operations, drive process improvements, and manage a skilled team of technicians, certified welders, and robotic operators at our Çerkezköy/Çorlu site. You will champion Lean manufacturing, safety, and KPI-driven performance in a fast-paced, global environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily production, optimizing welding robots and machinery, and ensuring compliance with EN ISO standards and NDT methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Welding Engineering.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in welding manufacturing with at least 2-3 years of team management experience.
• Experienced in welding standards (EN ISO 3834, EN1090, ISO5817, AWS D1.1) and NDT methods.
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, welding symbols, and geometrical tolerances.
• Valid International Welding Engineer (IWE) certification is asset.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required to coordinate with global teams.
• Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement (Kaizen) in workshop environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage conflict and motivate a technical team under tight deadlines, and excellent interpersonal skills to manage a blue-collar technical workforce.
• Military service should be completed for male candidates.
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Çerkezköy or Çorlu location.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates all daily operations within the welding steel fabrication lines to meet production schedules.
• Lead, motivate, and develop welding technicians, certified welders, and robotic operators; organize shift schedules and workforce allocation.
• Conduct process development and optimization studies for welding robots and lead automation integration projects to increase efficiency.
• Identify bottlenecks in the welding process, minimize distortion/rework rates, and implement Lean production methods to reduce cycle times and costs.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure welding machines, jigs, fixtures, and robotic cells are calibrated and operating safely.
• Ensure all Health & Safety policies and procedures are understood and implemented by all Production Team Members.
• Improvement actions should be taken on key performance indicators such as resource efficiency, failure rates (NDT results), and consumable usage.
• Reporting regular production KPIs.
