Job summary

Lincoln Electric in İzmit, Türkiye, seeks an experienced Industrial Operations leader to oversee process, OpEx, and industrial engineering activities, driving cross-functional CI and VAVE initiatives. You will coach engineers, shape technology definitions, and manage capacity planning and CAPEX with Ariba procurement.

The role requires advanced English, strong manufacturing process knowledge, and expertise in make-or-buy decisions, with a focus on cost reduction and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years in industrial engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering or related field; (master’s degree is preferred)
• Advanced English (written and spoken)
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and CAPEX management.
• Leadership mindset, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, ability to coach and develop teams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement platforms.
• Ability to mentor engineers and build technical capabilities.
• Skilled in make-or-buy decisions and long-term capacity planning.
• Expertise in leading cross-functional projects and managing timelines.
• Strong focus on process optimization and cost reduction.
• Deep knowledge of industrialization, new technology implementation, and equipment purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee process, production, OpEx, and industrial engineering activities.
• Lead cross-functional CI and VAVE initiatives across products/processes.
• Apply technical standards, best practices, and sustainable manufacturing principles.
• Coach engineers and build technical/operational capabilities.
• Contribute to tech definition, product industrialization, and make-or-buy decisions.
• Lead capacity definition and plant-wide improvements.
• Manage CAPEX, equipment specs, supplier selection, and Ariba procurement.
• Monitor KPIs and report to Operations Director, ensure HSE compliance.
