Job summary

Ford Otosan is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Lead to drive design, purchase and commissioning of highly automated equipment for new product lines in Eskişehir (with mobility to Kocaeli, Dunton, Craiova).

You will champion Ford standards, optimize ergonomic and safe commissioning, and steer cross-functional teams toward on-time, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required in mechanical, electrical, metallurgical/materials or mechatronics.
• Preferably involved in equipment and vehicle commissioning.
• Experience in production environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering studies for new products with focus on smart factory and sustainable energy.
• Direct design, procurement and commissioning of equipment and transfer systems.
• Plan and assess design feasibility, ensuring quality and on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with facility design teams and other departments for project success.

Role Description:

• In line with shaping the future in line with Ford Otosan's vision of being the most valuable and most preferred industrial company,
• Leading manufacturing engineering studies in the design activities of new products by keeping the smart factory and production technologies and sustainable energy in the focus,
• Leading process designs in accordance with Ford systems and guiding the team in commissioning intelligent and highly automated process equipments and facilities. Ensure that the product is commissioned with targeted quality on time and aligned with manufacturing engineering standards.
• Manage the design, purchasing and commissioning of the T&F equipment and transfer system
• Advance planning and preparations for new projects. Leading for design feasibility studies by considering Ford production standards, factory facility equipment constraints, quality metrics and design studies.
• Keep Ford Otosan standards in the forefront in new projects, ensuring the most ergonomic and efficient commissioning of the equipment and production facility, improving worker health and safety, solving existing problems within the scope of new projects.
• Directing the equipment design according to vehicle design studies by planing coordination with the facility design team
• Keep Ford Otosan's manufacturing technology level up-to-date and moving forward within the scope of Industry 4.0, following developments and new technologies in the automotive industry.
• Establishing positive business relationships by providing project coordination with other manufacturing departments
• Generating investment budget and making projects ready for management approval

Experience

• Preferably involved in equipment & vehicle commissioning processes,
• Preferably worked in production departments.

Education

• Having an engineering degree in mechanical,electrical, metallurgical&materials and mechatronics departments.

• Having knowledge of Endüstri 4.0 (AGV, Camera Control, Assembly Automation)
• Having knowledge of PLC and software for T&F
• Having knowledge of the body process flow and understanding the body layout with electrical and mechanical schematic
• Media supply data calculation (elecktric, air and water consumption)
• Having knowledge of basic construction process for facility set up
• Having knowledge of problem-solving techniques (6-sigma, TRIZ)
• Basic knowledge of Autocad, Teamcenter Vismockup
• Having knowledge of lean manufacturing system
• Having knowledge of machine control and safety
• Having knowledge of risk analysis and PFMEA

Role Location

• Eskişehir (Also flexible to work in Kocaeli, Dunton, Craiova locations)
