Job summary

Voltivo is building an end-to-end technology platform for electric mobility in Turkey, integrating battery swap networks, mobile apps, and backend systems. The Tech Director will own architecture, data security, and real-time operations, while guiding software, data, DevOps, and hardware teams to scale the platform for fleets in Istanbul and beyond.

The role requires a hands-on leader with 10+ years in software and technology leadership, plus strong English and board-level communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-native and event-driven architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design and Hexagonal/Clean Architecture
• End-to-end ownership of cloud transformation in enterprise systems
• Platform experience in logistics, mobility, or e-commerce environments
• Proven track record solving scalability and reliability challenges in real-time systems
• Experience building products/platforms from zero to one in startups or high-growths
• Advanced English with strong stakeholder management and board reporting skills

Job description

Voltivo is an electric mobility venture launched jointly by ATP Capital and Ata Holding. We bring together electric motorcycles, a subscription-based battery swap network, and the software platform that runs this ecosystem end-to-end, in a single integrated model. Our goal is to fundamentally transform the daily operations of high-density urban delivery fleets - starting in Istanbul and expanding across Turkey.

We're looking for a Technology Director to build the technology side of this journey from the ground up.

What You'll Do

• Define the company's 3-5 year technology roadmap and report to the board and CEO.
• Own the end-to-end architecture spanning the battery swap station network, mobile apps, and backend systems.
• Design the central platform ("Battery Operating System") that monitors the station network in real time, manages battery inventory, and processes IoT telemetry.
• Build algorithmic systems for courier assignment, route planning, and demand forecasting.
• Hire and grow software, data, DevOps, and hardware/IoT integration teams.
• Own system reliability, data security, and regulatory compliance (including Turkey's data protection law, KVKK).
• Identify synergy opportunities with other technology teams within the ATP Capital and Ata Holding ecosystem.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of combined experience in software engineering and technology leadership, including at least 5 years in a Director, Principal Architect, or CTO-level role.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud-native and event‑driven architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP, container orchestration, messaging/streaming infrastructure).
• Strong command of modern software architecture approaches such as Domain‑Driven Design (DDD) and Hexagonal/Clean Architecture.
• End-to-end ownership of cloud transformation and modernization projects in enterprise systems.
• Platform experience in operationally intensive sectors such as logistics, last‑mile delivery, e‑commerce, or mobility.
• A technical track record of solving scalability and reliability challenges in high‑traffic, real‑time systems.
• Experience building a product/platform from zero to one, or a strong affinity for startup/high‑growth environments.
• Advanced English; strong stakeholder management and board‑reporting skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with IoT‑based hardware‑software integration (smart station/device networks, telemetry, remote monitoring).
• Embedded systems experience for station hardware and field control units - microcontroller‑based firmware, real‑time operating systems (RTOS), or hardware‑software interface development.
• Knowledge of electric vehicles, energy storage, or battery management systems.
• Direct project leadership experience in courier assignment/route optimization algorithms or demand forecasting.
• Experience working within a group-company ecosystem (holding/subsidiary structure).
