Job summary

AVL Research and Engineering Turkey is seeking an engineering professional to lead system and functional integration within battery projects. You will participate in defining battery requirements and work with software and inverter teams to ensure cohesive specifications.

The role emphasizes test planning, validation activities, and supporting electrical design, modelling, and safety processes. Travel and multidisciplinary collaboration are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• Fluent English; German a plus.
• Willingness to frequent and long-term travel.

Responsibilities

• Engage in system and functional integration and project management.
• Define battery system requirements and specifications.
• Coordinate with SW and Inverter teams to align battery needs.
• Define test/validation tasks and assess results (DVP).
• Support HV battery electrical design, modelling, and simulations.
• Support safety activities for battery controls and systems.
• Assist component engineers in vehicle and powertrain projects.
• Ensure development quality through requirements engineering and reviews.

• Responsible for system and functional integration and technical project management
• Participation in the preparation of battery system requirements and specifications
• Liaise with the other teams to provide information regarding the battery requirements and specifications (i.e. SW team, Inverter team)
• Definition of test and validation tasks, and assessment of results (DVP & activities)
• Support HV battery electrical design, mechanical design, modelling and simulation activities
• Support HV battery controls and functional safety activities
• Support battery element engineer (component responsibility) in vehicle and powertrain projects
• Ensuring development quality and defining respective measures (requirements engineering, review loops, document release, etc.

Profile Description

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Control / Mechatronics / Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
• Preferably EV or solar vehicle team of the university, battery team member
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English (German would be a plus)
• Willingness to frequent and long-term domestic and international travel
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
