Job summary

Henkel in Turkey seeks an experienced indirect purchasing professional to manage sourcing and supplier processes for machinery spare parts and operational requirements.

You will collaborate with internal teams and with local and international suppliers to support cost-efficient purchasing operations, negotiate terms, evaluate quotations, and drive improvements using SAP and other procurement systems. A degree in engineering with 3–4 years in purchasing is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 3–4 years of purchasing experience, preferably indirect or technical purchasing in manufacturing.
• Experience in indirect purchasing and spare parts procurement, supplier sourcing, quotation management and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage indirect purchasing activities, including machinery spare parts and operational requirements.
• Manage supplier sourcing, RFQs, quotation evaluation, negotiation and supplier selection.
• Evaluate supplier quotations from technical and commercial perspectives with internal teams.
• Identify and develop new/alternative suppliers to strengthen portfolio and cost optimization.
• Lead negotiations on pricing and terms to improve purchasing efficiency and cost savings.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance.
• Coordinate purchasing and discussions with international suppliers and machinery manufacturers.
• Manage purchasing data through SAP and procurement systems.
• Support plant spare parts stock optimization and preventive actions.

About this Position In this position, you will take an active role in indirect purchasing activities, managing sourcing and supplier processes for machinery spare parts and other operational requirements. You will work closely with relevant internal teams and collaborate with local and international suppliers to support efficient and cost-effective purchasing operations.

What You´ll Do

• Manage indirect purchasing activities, including machinery spare parts and other operational requirements
• Manage sourcing processes, including supplier identification, RFQs, quotation evaluation, negotiation and supplier selection
• Evaluate supplier quotations from technical and commercial perspectives in collaboration with relevant internal teams
• Identify and develop new and alternative suppliers to strengthen the supplier portfolio and support cost optimization
• Lead negotiations on pricing and commercial terms to improve purchasing efficiency and achieve cost savings
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance
• Coordinate purchasing activities and commercial discussions with international suppliers and machinery manufacturers
• Manage purchasing activities and related data through SAP and relevant procurement systems
• Support to optimizing of plant spart parts stock level,
• Check to consumption of spare parts routinely and taking preventive actions

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering field
• 3-4 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in indirect or technical purchasing within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in indirect purchasing and spare parts procurement, including supplier sourcing, quotation management, supplier management and commercial negotiations
• Manufacturing or FMCG industry experience is a plus
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with a proactive and results-oriented approach
• Good command of English
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred
• Experience of customs regulations and contracts processing.
