Job summary

Küçükoğlu Holding, founded in 1985, is a leading provider of automotive original spare parts with production sites in Istanbul, Sakarya, Bursa and other locations. We are seeking a Direct Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team and help optimize material sourcing for sheet metal, fasteners, plastics and subcontracted processes.

You will manage supplier relationships, perform market analysis, lead cost reduction initiatives, prepare contracts, and collaborate with engineering and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in purchasing for metal forming and joining in the automotive industry.
• Deep knowledge of subcontracted manufacturing like sheet metal, fasteners, plastics, surface and heat treatments.
• Ability to manage end-to-end supply chain processes.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to maintain supplier relationships.
• Analytical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor procurement activities for key production materials including sheet metal, fasteners, plastic components, and subcontracted processes like surface and heat treatments.
• Manage and develop supplier relationships; proactively research and assess new suppliers to ensure a competitive and reliable supply base.
• Strive to achieve cost efficiency and process optimization across all purchasing operations.
• Conduct market research and price analysis to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Prepare, track, and implement supplier contracts in compliance with company policies and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity and efficiency in the supply chain.
• Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to identify improvement opportunities and support strategic planning.
• Contribute to the creation and management of annual budgets for assigned suppliers.
• Coordinate with the Supplier Quality Team to ensure compliance with material quality standards.
• Monitor supplier performance based on quality and delivery metrics, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Industrial Engineering,
• Experienced in purchasing processes related to metal forming and joining operations within the automotive industry,
• In-depth knowledge of subcontracted manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, fasteners (e.g., nuts, bolts), plastic components, surface treatments, and heat treatments,
• Ability to manage end-to-end supply chain processes effectively,
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain robust supplier relationships,
• Well-developed analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills,
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal,
