Job summary

Henkel in Turkey invites an Automation Engineer to join our Maintenance team, focusing on electrical and automation systems across our manufacturing operations in Elmadağ. You will support PLC and SCADA maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, 3–5 years of maintenance experience, hands-on automation skills, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required.
• 3 to 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and industrial automation systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens PLC Step 7 / TIA Portal and SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and automation preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe operation of production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation breakdowns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability.
• Monitor and support Siemens PLC (Step 7 / TIA Portal) and SCADA systems.
• Identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with teams to optimize systems.
• Maintain maintenance documentation in the CMMS and ensure safety standards.

About this Position

Joinus as an Automation Engineer and play a key role in ensuring the reliabilityand efficiency of electrical and automation systems within our manufacturingoperations. As part of the Maintenance team, you will support electrical andautomation maintenance activities, troubleshoot technical issues, andcontribute to minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability acrossthe plant.

What you´ll do

• Perform and support electrical and automationpreventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure the safe andreliable operation of production equipment and systems.


• Troubleshoot electrical andautomation breakdowns, conduct root cause analysis, and implementcorrective actions to minimize downtime.


• Support preventive andpredictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability andavailability.


• Monitor, troubleshoot, andsupport Siemens PLC (Step 7 / TIA Portal) and SCADA systems.


• Identify improvementopportunities and contribute to the optimization and continuousimprovement of electrical and automation systems.


• Ensure maintenance andbreakdown-related documentation is accurately maintained in themaintenance management system.


• Ensure maintenance activitiesare carried out in compliance with safety, quality, and maintenancestandards.


• Collaborate with production,maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure the continuity andreliability of manufacturing operations.


• Participating in ProcessSafety and HAZOP activities with safety team.


• Support to improvementof facilities electrical infrastructure.


• Being responsible forconducting mandatory electrical inspections.

What makes you a good fit

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and ElectronicsEngineering is required.


• 3 to 5 years of maintenanceexperience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.


• Hands-on experience inelectrical maintenance and industrial automation systems.


• Practical knowledge andexperience with Siemens PLC (Step 7 / TIA Portal) and SCADA systems.


• Knowledge of troubleshooting,root cause analysis, and preventive/predictive maintenance practices.


• Experience with packaging,filling, or preparation processes is preferred.


• Good command of written and spoken English.


• Strong analytical,problem-solving, and communication skills.
