We are looking for a ''Supply Chain and Material Planner Specialist'' for our global business partner; operates in electronic production and located in Istanbul-Kadıkoy.
As a Supply Chain Specialist/Material Planner, you will be responsible for managingand coordinating the end to end inbound logistics process starting from PO creationto the receipt of goods including material planning, procurement, transportation,customs clearance and GR processing activities.
This is a maternity leave cover position for a period of 12 months.
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of materials from suppliers to the warehouse in order to satisfycustomer orders.
- Perform purchase order management activities, by effectively communicatingwith the factories on a daily basis, including rescheduling, expediting and cancellingof orders.
- Maintain effective communication with all related parties; suppliers, forwarders,and the custom broker, while managing various types of trade operations such asimport, export, transit trade, drop-shipment, and delivery at the customs.
- Compile import related costs (freight, customs, etc.) of each shipment andaccurately report them to the Accounting Department.
- Manage goods receiving process in SAP and address any discrepancies withsuppliers.
- Support the Supply Chain Manager in managing 3rd party customs broker indaily operations.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders in gathering the necessary documents whichare needed for customs clearance and post market audits (CE declarations and testreports).
- Provide accurate expected delivery dates for inquiries received from SalesDepartment on potential orders/projects.
- Do the initial review for customer return requests and involve the SCM and theCountry Sales Manager for commercial decisions where necessary.
- Execute system transactions for material returns and buybacks from customers.
- Monitor samples given to the customers and follow up on the return of goodsback to stock or invoicing of the customers.
- Organize reverse logistics of defected products for repair or credit purposes.
qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, International Trade and Logistics, or a related field. APICS certification will be an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Technical Experience in Supply Chain functions such as Material RequirementsPlanning, Demand Planning, Inventory Management and Control, Operational Buyingetc.
- Experience in international trade (import export, transit trade, dropshipments), international transportation, and customs procedures (product safetyregulations, CE marking, audits etc.)
- Very good knowledge and hands-on experience in SAP MM module (SAP SDmodule will be an asset).
- Experience with IBP or a demand planning software will be an asset.
- Very good command of MS Office applications (especially Excel)
- Advanced level speaking and writing proficiency in English.
