Site Manager (Project-Based / Fixed-Term)

Contract Type: Fixed-Term (4-5 Months)

Work Arrangement: Site-Based | 6 Days per Week

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our Project & Development Services team for the delivery of a prestigious new office building project in Istanbul. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing site operations, ensuring quality and schedule compliance, coordinating stakeholders, and representing the client’s interests throughout the construction lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams while contributing to the successful delivery of a high-profile development project.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage day-to-day site activities to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, on time, and within quality standards.
• Prepare and deliver regular progress reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) to the Project Manager.
• Oversee construction quality assurance and quality control processes in line with project specifications, design documentation, industry standards, and company procedures.
• Review, evaluate, and coordinate contractor submissions and deliverables.
• Conduct site inspections and supervise contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved designs and project requirements.
• Collaborate closely with MEP engineers and Health & Safety auditors, ensuring corrective actions are implemented when required.
• Review and provide technical feedback on contractor shop drawings and technical submittals.
• Assess and provide technical input regarding variation and change order requests.
• Monitor contractor procurement programs, construction schedules, and risk management plans, reporting progress and potential issues proactively.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, and project close-out activities.
• Lead project handover processes and oversee the resolution of defects during the defects liability period.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in site management and/or project management roles for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls, quality management, and contractor management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and related design software is required.
• Knowledge of BIM, Revit, SketchUp, and 3ds Max will be considered an advantage.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• High level of organization, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Professional approach to client and contractor relationship management.

Additional Requirements

• Based in Istanbul and able to commute to the project site on a daily basis.
• Good command of written and spoken English is preferred.
• Availability to work on-site throughout the project duration.
