Job summary

Hill International, Inc. is seeking an experienced professional to lead project controls for major builds and infra projects from its head office in Istanbul.

You will support planning, scheduling, cost control and reporting activities across multiple projects, maintaining baseline baselines and dashboards. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline, 10+ years of experience in project controls, and strong English skills for reading documents and preparing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in project controls, planning, cost control or related office functions.
• Experience with large-scale building, infra or industrial projects.
• Experience with proposals funded by international financing institutions.
• Ability to read and analyze English technical docs, contracts and schedules.
• Hands-on planning, scheduling, progress measurement, cost control and reporting.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI or AutoCAD.
• Strong analytical, coordination, communication and deadline-driven skills.

Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, cost control and reporting activities.
• Prepare, review and update project schedules, progress reports and dashboards.
• Monitor progress against baseline schedule and budget.
• Assist in delay analysis, EOT assessments, variation records and claims docs.
• Coordinate with project teams, site teams, consultants and client reps.
• Review data from site teams for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Support tender and proposal preparation when required.
• Prepare technical and management reports and English-Turkish correspondence.
• Provide project controls support to ongoing and prospective projects from head office.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

• Supporting project planning, scheduling, cost control, and reporting activities,


• Preparing, reviewing, and updating project schedules, progress reports, dashboards, and management reports,


• Monitoring project progress against the approved baseline schedule and budget,


• Assisting in the preparation of delay analysis, extension of time assessments, variation/change records, and claims-related documentation,


• Coordinating with project teams, site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and client representatives,


• Reviewing project data received from site teams and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely reporting,


• Supporting tender and proposal preparation processes when required,


• Preparing technical and management-level reports, presentations, and correspondence in English and Turkish,


• Providing project controls support to ongoing and prospective projects from the head office.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related engineering discipline,


• Strong written and spoken English skills, 10 years of relevant experience in project controls, planning, cost control, reporting, or technical office functions,


• Experience in large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or similar construction projects,


• Experience in preparation of proposals funded by international financing institutions is a must,


• Ability to read, understand, and analyze technical documents, contracts, specifications, schedules, and reports in English,


• Hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, cost control, and reporting processes,


• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint,


• Preferably knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, AutoCAD, or similar software,


• Familiarity with baseline schedules, progress updates, cash flow, budget, earned value, delay analysis, and project reporting is an advantage,


• Strong analytical, coordination, communication, and follow-up skills,


• Attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines,


• A team-oriented and result-driven approach.
