Job summary

AVEVA in Istanbul seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to lead negotiation of complex Cloud/SaaS contracts and related services across the EMEA region. You will support both indirect and direct sales, balancing legal risk with commercial goals.

You will collaborate with regional and global teams, advise on compliance, and drive efficient paths to signature within AVEVA policies and playbooks.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer authorised to practise in at least one jurisdiction.
• 8–12 years PQE with international commercial experience.
• Extensive drafting/negotiation of tech agreements, SaaS and services.
• Experience coordinating across multiple jurisdictions.
• Fluent in English; another language is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management with cross-functional teams.
• Highly organised, self-starter with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end negotiation strategy for EMEA commercial transactions.
• Draft and negotiate SaaS/Cloud, licences, order forms and services.
• Provide business-focused legal advice to Sales, Finance, Product teams.
• Operate within AVEVA policies; advise on risk vs commercial objectives.
• Coordinate with internal experts and manage external counsel as needed.
• Identify recurring issues and improve standard contracting positions.
• Drive process improvements like playbooks and clause libraries.
• Build strong relationships with Legal and business stakeholders.
• Support ad-hoc non-commercial legal matters when required.
