Job summary

AVEVA Istanbul hosts a Senior Legal Counsel responsible for leading negotiations on complex Cloud/SaaS and related services transactions across the EMEA region. The role balances legal risk with commercial objectives and requires close collaboration with business stakeholders in a fast-moving tech environment.

The successful candidate will draft and negotiate a broad range of customer, partner and supplier agreements, advise Sales, Finance, and Product teams, and ensure compliance with AVEVA

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal English communication; ability to translate legal concepts for business stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management with cross-functional teams across regions.
• Significant experience drafting and negotiating complex technology agreements, including cloud/SaaS and related services.
• Self-starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision.
• High focus on detail and risk assessment in commercial contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end negotiations for complex EMEA commercial transactions from review to signature.
• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS/cloud and software licenses, orders, amendments and services agreements.
• Handle indirect/channel agreements (reseller/distributor) and strategic teaming arrangements.
• Manage back-to-back contracts with prime/subcontractors and flow-down terms.
• Provide practical legal advice with business impact to Sales, Finance, Services and Product teams.
• Maintain AVEVA’s contracting policies, approval matrices and risk-based paths to signature.
• Coordinate with internal experts and external counsel as needed.
• Identify recurring contracting issues and develop standard positions and playbooks.
