Job summary

Orwood Company is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing function and develop a procurement strategy aligned with company goals.

You will oversee the full purchasing cycle from requests to PO closure, negotiate with suppliers, and coordinate with finance and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials.

The role requires a degree in logistics or related field, 7+ years of experience, fluency in English and Turkish, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• University degree in logistics or a related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in the same field.
• Proficiency in using Office programs.
• Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
• Excellent command of English and Turkish.
• Preference will be given to holders of Turkish nationality.

Responsibilities

• Establishing a procurement strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
• Full supervision from purchase request to closing the purchase order.
• Approving purchase requests and ensuring their compliance with internal policies.
• Reviewing technical and financial offers.
• Negotiating with suppliers to obtain the best prices and terms.
• Approving suppliers and periodically evaluating their performance.
• Coordinating with the finance and warehouse departments.
• Ensuring materials are available in a timely manner.
• Resolving issues related to delays or quality.
• Ensuring materials comply with approved specifications.
• Coordinating to perform inspection activities (at the factory / on site).
• Following up on inspection and receiving processes
