Job summary

La Reine Essence in Istanbul seeks a Senior Perfumer / Fragrance Analyst – GC-MS to design and evaluate fragrance formulations and analyze oils using GC-MS.

You will interpret data to guide formulation, support quality control, and collaborate with R&D and production to ensure product consistency. Strong fragrance expertise and GC-MS skills required; English fluency essential; Turkish language a plus.

Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in fragrance creation and perfumery techniques for fine fragrances, personal care, or home care.
• Strong GC-MS skills including method development, sample prep, data acquisition, and chromatogram interpretation.
• Solid knowledge of aroma chemicals, essential oils, and natural extracts; allergy screening and compatibility with product bases.
• Understanding of IFRA and global cosmetic/household regulations.
• Experience in R&D or analytical labs with good lab practices and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and evaluate fragrance compositions for various product bases.
• Analyze essential oils and aroma chemicals using GC-MS and interpret results.
• Guide formulation decisions and support quality control and consistency.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to optimize fragrance performance.
• Develop methods, prepare samples, report data, and maintain laboratory instruments; mentor junior staff.
