Job summary

Howden Turkey is seeking a Marine Claims Manager to join our Istanbul Head Office. The role focuses on managing Hull, Cargo, P&I and other marine claims, guiding files from initial notification through final settlement, and maintaining clear communication with insureds, insurers, surveyors, lawyers and international markets.

Candidates should have a university degree in a relevant field, 7–8 years of experience, and advanced MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a relevant university department.
• Minimum 7–8 years of experience in marine claims or a related field.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end marine claims processes including Hull, Cargo, P&I and related lines.
• Coordinate and communicate with insureds, insurance companies, surveyors, lawyers and international markets.
• Ensure timely progress of claims and keep all parties informed throughout the process.
• Prepare claims-related reports and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Job Description

• Managing claims processes arising from Hull, Cargo, P&I and other marine insurance lines,
• Managing and following up claim files end-to-end, from initial notification through to final settlement,
• Ensuring effective communication and coordination with insureds, insurance companies, surveyors, lawyers and international markets,
• Ensuring that claims processes progress accurately and in a timely manner, while keeping all relevant parties regularly informed,
• Preparing claims-related reports and managing documentation processes when required.

General Qualifications

• Graduate of a relevant university department,
• Preferably a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in this field,
