Job summary

Bausch+Lomb Companies Inc. is seeking a qualified GL professional to manage day-to-day General Ledger activities in Istanbul, ensuring accurate documentation and compliant journal entries.

The role leads month-end closes and collaborates across Finance functions to deliver timely, auditable financial information. The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in GL/R2R, English fluency, and strong Excel/ERP experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) preferred.
• 3–5+ years of progressive GL/R2R experience.
• Fluency in English required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GL processes.
• Detail-oriented with multi-priority management.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP).
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance of the General Ledger.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries.
• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end closing activities.
• Perform detailed GL reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts for reporting.
• Support the R2R process with timely financial information.
• Collaborate with AP/AR, Treasury, Tax, and others for data integration.
• Assist audits by preparing supporting documentation.
• Develop and improve GL policies and controls for efficiency.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in projects.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses.
