Bausch + Lomb is seeking a qualified General Ledger professional for its Istanbul location. The role focuses on day-to-day GL maintenance, journal entries, and close processes across month, quarter, and year-end cycles.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5+ years in GL/R2R, English fluency, and strong analytical and communication skills. ERP experience and GAAP knowledge are essential for accurate reporting and controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the General Ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities with accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of General Ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to support management reporting.
• Support the Record-to-Report (R2R) process with timely, accurate information.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Tax, and other functions for data integration.
• Assist in internal and external audit processes with documentation and respond to inquiries.
• Develop and enhance General Ledger policies and controls for GAAP compliance and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in special projects.
• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day maintenance of the General Ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, properly documented, and supported by appropriate evidence.

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including accruals, adjustments, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Perform detailed reconciliations of General Ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

• Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, providing clear and insightful financial analysis to support management reporting and decision-making.

• Support the Record-to-Report (R2R) process by delivering timely and accurate financial information for internal and external reporting purposes.

• Collaborate closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, Tax, and other business functions to ensure the accurate integration of financial data into the General Ledger.

• Assist in internal and external audit processes by preparing supporting documentation, account analyses, and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance General Ledger policies, procedures, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with GAAP and company standards.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate in special projects related to financial analysis, systems enhancements, policy reviews, and operational excellence.

• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses to support business needs and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.

• 3-5+ years of progressive experience in General Ledger accounting, Record-to-Report (R2R), or a similar finance function.

• Fluency in English is required.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and General Ledger processes.

• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and financial reporting tools.

• Knowledge of cash application software and related financial systems is a plus.

• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting).

• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and build effective relationships with stakeholders.

• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization, accuracy, and operational excellence.
