Job summary

Mikrogrup, a leading Turkish business software group, is seeking a skilled BI Engineer to design and deliver data-driven insights using Qlik Sense. Based in Istanbul with a hybrid work model, you will build data models, dashboards, and ETL processes to support multiple business units.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years BI experience, strong SQL/Excel, and a passion for data analytics, machine learning, and AI applications that drive smarter decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., Industrial, Computer, Software, or related fields).
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Business Intelligence experience.
• At least 2 years of experience with Qlik Sense.
• Strong command of SQL and Excel.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing and data modeling principles.
• Experience with data visualization and dashboard design.
• Knowledge and experience in Python, data analytics, machine learning and AI technologies.
• Ability to develop Python-based data analysis, automation and analytical projects.
• Interest in applying machine learning and AI-driven solutions to business use cases.
• Strong documentation, analysis, and research skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering: Analyze data and reporting needs of business units to develop appropriate BI solutions. Understand and guide data demands related to business processes.
• Data Modeling & Reporting in Qlik Sense: Build data models in Qlik Sense, establish data load logic, and integrate various data sources. Design user-friendly, high-performance, and visually effective dashboards and reports.
• Data Integration & ETL Process Management: Design and optimize data preparation and transformation (ETL) processes for processing and transferring data from various systems into Qlik Sense.
• Machine Learning & AI: Support the development and implementation of machine learning and AI-based analytical solutions as these capabilities expand within the organization.
• Data Analytics & Python Development: Contribute to data analytics initiatives and develop Python-based solutions for data analysis, automation and selected business use cases.
• Research & Technology Monitoring: Stay up to date with new features in Qlik Sense and advancements in BI, data analytics, machine learning and AI technologies. Research how these innovations can be integrated into business processes.
• Documentation & Process Monitoring: Document developed data models, reports, and data processing workflows in a clear and sustainable manner to support knowledge institutionalization.

What Qualifications and Skills Do We Seek?
