Job summary

Şişecam is seeking a seasoned Data Solutions Manager to lead a team focused on translating business needs into robust data engineering and analytics solutions. Based in Maslak, Istanbul, you’ll oversee ETL, data modeling, and BI delivery, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring data quality and adoption across the organization.

The role emphasizes data literacy, UAT leadership, and the creation of actionable data insights for government and tech park initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, BI, or business analysis roles; Product Owner experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, data modeling, and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Data Solutions Analysts, translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Oversee the team’s execution of UAT, source system change management, and data quality troubleshooting.
• Act as a critical interface between business units and technical delivery teams, shaping requirements for analytics solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for data warehouse and BI solutions.
• Define project scope, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
• Design conceptual and logical data models, and reporting processes to meet business requirements.
• Conduct data testing, evaluate data quality, and support data integration issues.
• Analyze source system changes and new data sources and support change management processes.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing, prepare training materials, and promote BI tool adoption.
• Support data literacy initiatives for business users.

More About the Role

• Manage and mentor a team of Data Solutions Analysts guide them in translating business needs into technical specifications (ETL, Data Modeling, BI).


• Oversee the team’s execution of user acceptance testing (UAT), source system change management, and data quality troubleshooting.


• Act as a critical interface between business units and technical delivery teams, shaping requirements from a business perspective and owning analytics solutions.


• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for data warehouse and BI solutions, analyzing business processes and creating actionable specifications.


• Define project scope, manage stakeholder communication, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.


• Design conceptual and logical data models, and reporting processes to meet business requirements


• Conduct data testing, evaluate data quality, and contribute to resolving integration and reporting issues.


• Analyze source system changes and new data sources and support smooth change management processes.


• Facilitate user acceptance testing, prepare training materials, and promote BI tool adoption.


• Support data literacy initiatives, guiding business users to transform problems into actionable data questions.


• Prepare official reports and presentations for Tech Park Management Company and Government Institutions.


• This position is based at our Technopark office in Maslak, Istanbul.

All About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.


• Minimum of 10 years of experience in data warehousing, BI, or business analysis roles; experience as a Product Owner is preferred.


• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, data modeling, and BI tools (Looker, SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).


• Experience in data quality practices, testing frameworks, and troubleshooting methodologies.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.


• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and drive user adoption and data literacy.


• Familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies is preferred.


• Excellent command of English both written and spoken.
