Job summary

Ford Otosan is seeking a STA Co Lead to manage supplier quality within the VRT group in a hybrid work environment. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive 8D closures, and lead warranty related problem solving for supplier-originated issues.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in supplier quality, manufacturing, and quality engineering, with advanced English and a collaborative mindset. You will work across multiple plants and with purchasing leadership to ensure timely actions.

Responsibilities

• Be the STA representative within the VRT group, coordinating tasks and attending meetings.
• Lead problem solving of supplier quality issues in new launches and drive closures.
• Drive resolution of chronic supplier quality issues with structured actions.
• Monitor supplier performance (QR/PPM) and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure on-time 8D closures and support the Part Quality team.
• Manage line stop crises with STA, PVT, and Part Quality to restore production.
• Escalate unsolved supplier problems to leadership and seek support.
• Lead Stop Shipment/Stop Build responses and complete 14D/PAC documentation.
• Lead warranty problem solving for supplier-originated issues and track status.
• Verify warranty binning as VRT STA Co Lead and deploy SWQOS with suppliers.

Job description

What awaits you in this role?

• Be the STA representative within the VRT group, acting as STA Co Lead and supporting Supplier Process (SP) items; ensure timely task assignments and regularly attend VRT Sub system Report Out meetings.
• Lead problem solving of supplier-related quality issues in new launch projects after JOB+90, coordinating STA Site members and cross functions as needed.
• Drive chronic supplier quality issue resolution by guiding STA Site members and ensuring structured closure with sustainable actions.
• Monitor supplier performance (QR/PPM) and coordinate actions
• Ensure on time and robust 8D closure from suppliers; support the Part Quality team on delayed responses or repeat issues, coordinating with STA Site members to prevent recurrence.
• Manage line stop crises caused by supplier quality problems together with Site STA, Part Quality, and PVT (Plant Vehicle Team) to restore production safely and quickly.
• Escalate unresolved supplier problems to Site STA and Purchasing Leadership and request support when barriers persist.
• Lead Stop Shipment/Stop Build responses with Site STA Engineers; prepare emergency reports, run the process with the supplier, and support completion of 14D/PAC documentation.
• Lead warranty related problem solving (up to 3MIS) for supplier-originated issues; record actions into BSAQ and follow up G/Y/R/RR status to closure.
• As VRT STA Co Lead, verify warranty binning accuracy for issues related to supplier processes.
• Deploy S WQOS (Supplier Warranty Quality Operating System) to selected suppliers: run executive kick offs, ensure GSAR access and monthly reporting, conduct site visits, drive system actions, and deliver measurable warranty performance improvement.
• Represent STA in VQR/PER/PQR/PRT meetings and lead the timely closure of assigned actions.Li>
• Lead improvements in Daily Quality/FCPA forums on supplier-originated issues and ensure effective containment, root cause, and systemic corrective actions.

Technical & Behavioural Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of quality tools (8D, 5Why, Ishikawa, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, etc.).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier quality systems, and technical drawings.
• Problem-solving skills with a structured and methodical approach.
• Strong reporting and documentation capabilities.
• Good command of MS Office and digital reporting tools.
• High level of communication, teamwork, adaptability, and continuous improvement mindset
• Advanced English
• Team player with willingness to learn

Education:

• Mechanical Eng., Manufacturing Eng., Electrical/Electronic Eng., Aircraft Eng., Mechatronics Eng. or Industrial Engineering Graduate
