Job summary

Jobgether, acting on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Backend Engineer for Core APIs based in Turkey. You will join a fully remote engineering team building high-performance backend systems for real-time data processing and API services across Go and Node.js.

You will own design, implementation, testing, and deployment, collaborating with globally distributed engineers. The role emphasizes reliability, scalability, and mentorship within an asynchronous environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Experience with Go and/or Node.js for production-grade systems.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, microservices and real-time data processing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or related field is preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable backend systems for real-time data processing.
• Build, maintain, and improve APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure with reliability and performance.
• Develop primarily with Go and/or Node.js across services to deliver robust backend solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate components and ensure efficient scale.
• Investigate complex features, perform root-cause analysis, and drive data-driven improvements.
• Tune performance, debug, test, and improve backend reliability.
• Share knowledge and best practices to foster a data-driven engineering culture.
• Own engineering work from concept to deployment and iteration.
• Participate in on-call rotation and support teammates’ growth.
• Contribute to open-source initiatives and collaborate with globally distributed stakeholders.
