Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Technical Leader (Fullstack Backend focused) for a partner company based in Turkey. You will shape backend architecture, standards, and the engineering roadmap while remaining hands-on, leading a team to deliver scalable APIs and distributed systems.

You will collaborate with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into robust backend solutions and drive AI-powered development practices to boost velocity and quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years backend development experience with 4+ years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Node.js with NestJS/Express.js.
• Experience building scalable APIs, backend services, and distributed systems.
• Strong relational and non-relational DB knowledge; data modeling and optimization.
• Cloud infrastructure experience (prefer AWS); familiarity with containers, CI/CD, and IaC.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures; Kafka is a plus.
• Ability to incorporate AI tools and AI workflows into development.
• Experience mentoring engineers, code reviews, and setting standards.
• Good frontend understanding to collaborate with frontend engineers.
• Focus on security, testing, observability, reliability, and performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and establish strong engineering practices and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product, Frontend, DevOps to deliver scalable tech solutions.
• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and APIs (TypeScript/Node.js).
• Design systems for high availability, security, performance, and zero-downtime deployment.
• Own backend direction and roadmap balancing delivery with maintainability.
• Improve reliability via testing, monitoring, observability, incidents, and performance tuning.
• Leverage AI tools to improve productivity and quality.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve platform and processes.
• Translate business needs into robust backend architectures for engineering/product stakeholders.
