Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Back End Developers for a fully remote contract role focused on server-side systems and APIs powering AI products. The position offers flexible hours and an opportunity to impact AI infrastructure with a global team.

Applicants should be proficient in multiple backend languages, comfortable with microservices, cloud deployments, and asynchronous collaboration across time zones. Istanbul-based remote work is available with 10–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or Rust.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Comfortable with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work asynchronously.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back end services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Build scalable server-side architecture for AI training and inference workloads.
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following engineering best practices.
• Integrate with databases, message queues, cloud services, and third-party APIs.
• Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows.
• Collaborate asynchronously with distributed teams of engineers, researchers, and product leads.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Work independently on task-based and project-based assignments on your own schedule.
