Job summary

Sönmez Transformer Company ( STS ) in Dilovası, Kocaeli, Turkey, seeks an R&D Structural Analysis Engineer to manage CFD processes, ensure product quality, and drive continuous improvement in transformer manufacturing.

The candidate will perform FEM, dynamic, and CFD analyses, develop models, and present technical documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Relocation/open to overseas assignments and on-site work are considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a related university.
• Knowledge of welded manufacturing and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency with ANSYS Mechanical, ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS Fluent.
• Knowledge of optimization techniques used in engineering analysis.
• Strong project management and teamwork skills.
• Ability to perform CFD analysis and solid understanding of engineering mathematics and physics.

Responsibilities

• Perform Finite Element Method (FEM) analyses.
• Conduct dynamic analyses, including fatigue, stress, and life assessment.
• Perform shock and vibration analyses.
• Perform CFD analyses.
• Prepare and present analysis reports.
• Carry out geometric modeling and pre-processing activities.
• Prepare technical documentation and deliver technical presentations.
• Proactive, responsible, and result-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

STS was founded in 1976. Our production plant is located in Dilovasi, Kocaeli and we have an office in Istanbul Anatolian Side. Our current export rate is more than 95% worldwide; our main markets are Central Europe, North America, and Australia.

We are seeking an R&D Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team in the power transformer manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and implement to the related CFD process ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
