Job summary

Dinex Group is seeking a Project Engineer to lead customer projects from RFQ through Production Launch in the automotive sector. You will ensure cost optimization, production readiness, and on-time delivery while following the APQP process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Automotive, Mechanical or equivalent engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing customer projects in new product development in automotive or similar industry.
• Experience with RFQ/RFI activities from project management perspective; cost calculation know-how is a plus.
• Experience with production processes like welding, CNC machining, stamping, milling, or flaring is an asset.
• Strong commercial and risk judgment with a proactive, customer-first mindset.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead key ATS/PTS customer projects from business case to serial start following APQP.
• Support Sales with technical and costing inputs for new projects.
• Provide technical feasibility inputs and manage ECD files with customers.
• Be the main Dinex contact for Customer PM and Partner PM across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate internal activities across Technology, Engineering, Testing, NPI, SCM/Purchasing, and Production.
• Access deliverables in customer portals and KPI trackers.
• Ensure timely readiness of deliverables from other workstreams.
• Lead project teams and drive performance to meet objectives.
• Manage risks and opportunities related to time, quality, cost, and warranty.
• Oversee work completion and handover certificates with customers and suppliers.
• Keep stakeholders informed and engaged; drive improvement initiatives.
• Relocate to Çerkezköy / Tekirdağ area as needed.

The role of a Project Engineer is to lead projects with internal and external customers, from the RFQ (request of quotation) until Production Launch stage, by following the Dinex APQP Stage Gate process. During the process, the role of the Project Engineer is to secure the project is cost-optimized, production suitable, having the right performance, on schedule and budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead key ATS/PTS customer projects from business case to serial start following the Dinex APQP process
• Support Sales with technical and costing inputs for acquiring new ATS/PTS projects
• Reflecting technical feasibility inputs to the Engineering Change Documents. Agreeing upon the ECD files with the customer including technical drawing and 3D model adjustments.
• Serve as key contact in Dinex towards Customer PM and Partner PM throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate and manage internal project activities by Technology, Engineering, Testing, NPI, SCM / Purchasing and Production
• Access deliverables in the Customer portal and KPI tracker lists.
• Accountable for timely readiness of deliverables from other workstreams in the project.
• Lead project team and drive team’s performance towards achieving project objectives.
• Manage project-level risks and opportunities pertaining to time delays, quality issues, cost overruns and warranty claims.
• Manage work completion and handover certificates with customers and suppliers during the project.
• Keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
• Work on various improvement and standardization initiatives within your department.
• Promote project management knowledge and best practice sharing in Dinex Group.
• No restriction to travel for business purposes locally and internationally.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Automotive, Mechanical or equivalent engineering degrees.
• Minimum 3 years experience in managing customer projects in new product development area within automotive or similar industry. International or multicultural working experience will be an asset.
• Experience in leading RFQ & RFI activities prom project management and project engineering point of view. Piece price cost calculation know-how is an asset.
• Experience with the production processes i.e. welding, CNC machining, stamping, milling, flaring is an asset.
• Possess sound commercial and risk judgement
• Self-driven, result-oriented and flexible in working approach, team leader as well as team player
• Applies proactive and frontloading approach in project management with ‘customer-first’ mindset
• Good at leading multi-cultural teams to identify and solve issues and able to go in details where needed
• Structured, fact-based and analytical in working approach
• Good at documenting and reporting on project meetings and program/project portfolio progress
• Work well in stressful situations and able to manage between multiple projects and topics at a time
• Intermediate user of Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word. Solidworks knowledge is an asset.
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Has valid car driving license
