Job summary

Gamak Makina Sanayi A.Ş. is seeking an experienced R&D Design Manager to lead product development, guide multidisciplinary engineering teams, and drive innovation across our electromechanical product portfolio.

Reporting to the R&D Director, you will shape the technology roadmap, lead new product projects, and ensure smooth industrialization and transfer to manufacturing. Strong leadership and a deep background in motor technologies are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Master's degree or Ph.D. is advantageous.
Fluent in English.
10+ years in electrical/electromechanical/mechanical product design and development; 5+ years in engineering leadership and project management.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a manufacturing environment.
Strong technical expertise in electromagnetic/mechanical/thermal design or related fields.
Experience with PLM, FMEA/DFMEA, APQP.
Experience with CAD and electromagnetic simulation tools such as Ansys Maxwell, Motor-CAD, Flux.
Knowledge of IEC/EN standards; TÜBİTAK/intl. R&D project experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead new product development from concept to industrialization and serial production.
Manage electromagnetic, electrical, mechanical, and thermal design activities for performance and cost optimization.
Define and execute the technology roadmap for electric motors and related products.
Coordinate projects with universities, research institutes, and technology partners.
Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary R&D team and promote best practices.
Ensure compliance with international engineering standards and transfer to manufacturing.
