Job summary

Gamak Makina Sanayi A.Ş invites applications for an experienced R&D Design Manager to lead next-generation electromechanical product development. You will steer multidisciplinary teams from concept to industrialization, ensuring alignment with business goals and emerging technologies.

Reporting to the R&D Director, you will shape the technology roadmap, oversee projects, and ensure industrialization and successful transfer of new products into manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering (Master/PhD an advantage).
• Minimum 10 years in electrical/electromechanical/mechanical product design and development.
• At least 5 years in engineering team leadership and project management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in electromagnetic, mechanical, thermal design and related manufacturing technologies.
• Familiarity with PLM, FMEA/DFMEA, APQP and R&D processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead new product development from concept through industrialization and serial production.
• Manage electromagnetic, electrical, mechanical, and thermal design activities for performance and cost optimization.
• Oversee technology roadmap for electric motors and electromechanical products.
• Coordinate benchmarking, design verification, prototype development, testing and validation.
• Monitor advances in motor technologies and support IP activities.
• Lead DFM, FMEA, risk assessment, and root-cause analysis; support productivity and localization.
