Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a Project Engineer to develop future and customer-oriented Process Automation and Cyber Security projects in our global team. You will support customers and suppliers as part of the project team, prepare automation solutions, clarify technical details, and service and commission automation applications with minimal supervision.

The role requires deep PCS7/WinCC knowledge, about 3 years of project experience, teamwork, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Automation, Electrical or Electronics, Control Engineering or related field.
• Approx. 3 years of professional and project experience.
• Deep knowledge of PCS7 and WinCC.
• Knowledge of network basics and virtualization environments.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel and driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Support End customers and suppliers as part of the Project Team.
• Prepare automation solutions based on customer requirements and standards.
• Clarify technical details with project partners.
• Service, maintain, commission, install, start-up, and provide technical support for process automation applications.
• Work with minimal supervision and deliver high service levels.
• Possess commercial awareness to identify new opportunities for sales and retrofits.
• Ensure quality of service meets customer expectations.

To support our Process & Cyber Security Team, we are looking for Project Engineers to develop future and customer-oriented Process Automation and Cyber Security projects.

What are my responsibilities?

• Supporting End customers andSuppliers as part of our Project Team.
• Preparing automation solutions based on the customer’s requirements and automation standards.
• Clarifying technical details with project partners.
• Responsible for servicing, maintaining, commissioning, installing, start-up, and providing technical support for the range ofprocessautomation applications.
• Able to provide a consistent approach whilst working under our own initiative and working closely with other team members, with minimal supervision and providing our customers with the highest levels of service possible.
• Ability to occasionally work outside normal business hours.
• Understand the needs of our customers and markets, speak the customer's language, develop credibility, loyalty, trust and commitment.
• Continuously seek to add value to the services provided and achieve first-time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times, lower costs for customers, and a reduction in invoice queries, thus gaining customer satisfaction and retention whilst helping to achieve market leadership.
• Have commercial awareness and an ability to recognize, promote and pursue new opportunities for sales, contracts, retrofits.
• Ensure that the quality of service provided for each customer meets or exceeds their expectations.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Deep knowledge ofPCS7 and WinCC
• Professional and project experience (approx. 3 years)
• Knowledge of network basics
• Experienced with virtualization environments.
• University degree in Automation, Electrical and/or Electronics, Control Engineering or a related area
• Eager to learn new technologies, tools, and automation domain know-how.
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
• Initiative, learning ability, result-oriented and quality-driven
• Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team with globally distributed colleagues and work independently as well
• Willingness to travel / Must hold a valid driver’s license
