Job summary

Siemens Turkey R&D is seeking game changers to advance smart manufacturing and digitalization. You will develop production-grade robot connectivity, impedance control, and real-time motion interfaces for leading industrial applications.

Join a global team delivering innovative robotics solutions with UR, KUKA, ABB and other platforms. You will work across disciplines to implement robust communication standards, test interoperability, and contribute to future platform integration in a dynamic R&D

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development in robotics.
  • Experience with robot communication standards and real-time control.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production-grade robot connectivity and interfaces.
  • Design impedance control solutions for robotic applications.
  • Develop force-controlled and compliant motion capabilities.
  • Integrate standardized robot interfaces including SRCI-based solutions.
  • Develop real-time control and motion execution interfaces.
  • Design future robot platform and controller integration interfaces.

What are my responsibilities?
  • Develop and maintain production-grade robot connectivity and communication interfaces
  • Design and implement impedance control solutions for advanced robotic applications
  • Develop force-controlled and compliant robotic motion capabilities
  • Integrate standardized robot communication and interoperability interfaces, including SRCI-based solutions
  • Develop and integrate real-time control and motion execution interfaces
  • Design and implement future robot platform, runtime, and controller integration interfaces
What do I need to qualify for this job?
  • BSc., MSc., or PhD. in Mechatronics Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven track record with 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with industrial robot communication interfaces and interoperability standards, including UR RTDE, URScript, SRCI, OPC UA, and similar robot controller communication technologies
  • Experience in impedance and admittance control, force/torque sensing and calibration, compliance control strategies, and servo-level motion command streaming
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols and real-time systems, including PROFINET, IRT, OPC UA, cycle-time optimization, latency and jitter analysis, and motion control concepts
  • Strong experience with C++, Python, ROS 2 (including ros2_control and related drivers), protocol analysis, interoperability testing, and software integration
  • Experience in performance analysis, diagnostics, controller trace and log evaluation, latency measurement, system troubleshooting, and hardware-in-the-loop validation
  • Familiarity with industrial robot controllers and automation platforms such as Universal Robots, ABB, FANUC, KUKA, SIMATIC, SINUMERIK, or comparable technologies is an advantage
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Knowledge of and experience with Scrum and Agile development methodologies is an advantage
  • Very good command of English
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills
  • No restriction for travelling abroad
