Job summary

YILPORT Holding Inc. in Marmara region seeks an Operation Controller to coordinate terminal operations, ensuring safe and efficient vessel, yard and gate activities. You will plan yard movements, monitor equipment use and support timely container operations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 0–2 years planning experience, proficiency in MS Office, strong analytical and creative thinking, and willingness to work in shifts in a dynamic environment in Gebze.

Responsibilities

• Provide planning support to local operations across countries.

• Improve yard strategies aligned with daily needs of operations.
• Monitor terminal KPIs to ensure targets and efficient flows.
• Monitor and dispatch equipment to maximize utilization and maintain flows.

About Job

Operation Controller is responsible for coordinating terminal operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely vessel, yard, and gate activities.

The role includes managing work queues, controlling yard equipment and terminal trucks through SPARCS,

Monitoring operational performance, and maintaining continuous communication with Operations, Planning, Customer Service, shipping agencies, and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include optimizing container movements,

Assigning and monitoring equipment and terminal tractors,

Balancing workloads, responding to operational issues and equipment breakdowns, Supporting yard planning activities, coordinating CFS requests,

Activating yard allocation ranges, and ensuring smooth execution of vessel operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Effectively provide planning support to local operations in different countries,
• Prepare vessel loading and discharging stowage plans by using TOS (Terminal Operation System) (Navis) while ensuring that all customer requests meet the demands,
• Plan all yard activities including interfacility transfers and CFS (Container Freight Services) service orders,
• Prepare and improve yard strategies in line and aligned with the general and daily needs of local operations,
• Monitor the key performance indicators of the terminals to ensure that targets are achieved and operational flows are being followed efficiently,
• Monitor and dispatch the equipment in terminal and maximize equipment utilization while ensuring all operational flows are followed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree from relevant university departments,
• 0-2 years of experience planning,
• Proficiency in MS Office,
• Strong analytical and creative thinking skills for effective decision making,
• Willing and able to work in a dynamic work environment,
• Reside in Anatolian side of İstanbul or Kocaeli,
• Willing and able to work in shifts.
