Job summary

Perfetti Van Melle is seeking a procurement professional to act as the main contact between internal stakeholders and suppliers in a fast-moving FMCG environment. You will support supplier performance, transform requisitions to orders, and ensure timely delivery and accurate pricing.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree, at least 1 year in procurement, strong English and MS Office skills, and the ability to analyze data to support category decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
• Min. 1 year experience in procurement (FMCG preferred).
• Strong written and verbal English.
• Proficient in MS Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships.
• Convert Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders and liaise with suppliers.
• Track orders for on-time delivery, pricing accuracy and confirmations.
• Generate ERP-based data to support procurement decisions.
• Ensure POs align with contracts and terms of supply.
• Collaborate with buyers for timely PO placement and issue resolution.
• Handle invoice discrepancies and price differences.
• Apply supply agreements, terms and conditions to transactions.
• Gather stakeholder requirements for indirect categories and provide day-to-day support.

About the job

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for acting as the main point of contact between internal stakeholders and suppliers,
• Provide operational and analytical support by monitoring supplier performance and ensuring effective supplier relationships,
• Manage the transformation of Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders and ensure timely communication with suppliers,
• Monitor order progress and ensure on-time order confirmations, agreed pricing and timely delivery of goods,
• Generate and interpret ERP-based data to support supplier performance tracking and category-level decision making,
• Ensure purchase orders are created accurately to prevent invoice discrepancies,
• Work closely with buyers to ensure timely and accurate placement of purchase orders,
• Handle invoice-related issues including price differences and discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution,
• Ensure correct application of supply agreements, terms & conditions and effective use of framework contracts,
• Identify and understand stakeholder requirements in terms of quantity, specifications and service levels, especially for indirect categories,
• Provide day-to-day operational support to stakeholders, including handling queries, supporting local purchases and ensuring procurement process compliance.

The ideal candidate is expected to have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably from an engineering department or Business Administration),
• Min. 1 year experience of procurement (preferably FMCG sector),
• Good command of written and verbal English,
• Good command of MS Office (SAP knowledge is an asset),
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
• Strong analytical & reporting skills,
