As Reed Turkey, we are looking for an "Ocean Export Specialist" for our client.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration or related fields.
- Minimum 2-3 years of Sea Freight Export Operations experience.
- Advanced level English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience in freight forwarding and sea freight operations.
- Knowledge of export documentation, Bill of Lading processes, VGM and Shipping Instructions.
- Experience in coordinating with shipping lines, ports, overseas agents and customers.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
- Proactive, detail-oriented and result-driven approach.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Advanced MS Office knowledge, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of ISO Tank operations is considered an asset.
- Military service completed for male candidates.
Job Description
- Manage end-to-end sea freight export operations in line with customer requirements.
- Coordinate bookings with shipping lines and ensure timely execution of export shipments.
- Monitor vessel schedules, ETD/ETA information and shipment milestones.
- Prepare, review and submit Shipping Instructions (SI), VGM declarations and export-related documentation.
- Ensure all cut-off deadlines are met accurately and on time.
- Coordinate daily operations with overseas agents, customers, terminals and transport providers.
- Follow up on Bill of Lading processes, amendments and final document issuance.
- Proactively identify operational risks and implement corrective actions before issues arise.
- Manage exceptional situations such as rollovers, delays, equipment shortages and documentation discrepancies.
- Monitor operational costs and support invoice verification processes.
- Maintain high-quality customer communication and provide regular shipment status updates.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements and international shipping regulations.
