Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret site survey reports, measurements, photographs, and technical findings received from field teams.
- Assess the existing condition of elevator systems and identify appropriate modernization solutions in line with project requirements.
- Prepare and revise mechanical and/or electrical technical drawings for elevator modernization projects using AutoCAD.
- Develop layout drawings, component arrangements, shaft plans, and technical details required for modernization applications.
- Perform the necessary technical calculations and ensure that proposed solutions are technically feasible and compliant with applicable standards.
- Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, material requirements, and pricing studies based on site survey data and technical specifications.
- Determine the scope of modernization projects and prepare accurate technical documentation and bills of quantities.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Installation, and Field teams throughout the quotation and project preparation processes.
- Provide technical support during customer proposal and tender preparation stages.
- Ensure that designs and technical solutions comply with relevant elevator regulations, company procedures, and applicable safety standards.
- Follow developments in elevator technologies, modernization solutions, components, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in elevator modernization, technical design, engineering, estimation, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of elevator modernization processes, including the assessment and replacement or adaptation of mechanical, electrical, control, drive, door, car, shaft, and safety systems.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to prepare and interpret detailed technical drawings.
- Solid knowledge of EN 81-20 and EN 81-50, as well as relevant elevator safety regulations and technical standards.
- Ability to interpret field survey data and convert site findings into technically feasible modernization solutions.
- Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, material take-offs, and project pricing.
- Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
- Preferably holding a relevant SMM Certificate (Independent Engineering and Consultancy Certificate).
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and cross-functional communication skills.
