Job summary

thyssenkrupp Elevator is seeking an experienced Engineer to support modernization projects. You will review site surveys, assess systems, and prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for modernization efforts.

You will develop layouts, perform feasibility calculations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to prepare proposals and cost estimates. Strong English skills and safety standards knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional elevator modernization, design, estimation, or related work.
• Strong knowledge of elevator modernization and related control systems.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills to prepare and interpret detailed drawings.
• Solid knowledge of EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 and safety standards.
• Ability to translate field data into feasible modernization solutions.
• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, material take-offs, and pricing.
• Good written and spoken English for technical documentation.
• Preferably holding an SMM Certificate (Independent Engineering and Consultancy).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, planning, and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Review site survey reports and technical findings from field teams.
• Assess existing elevator systems and identify modernization solutions.
• Prepare and revise electrical/mechanical drawings for modernization projects using AutoCAD.
• Develop layout drawings, shaft plans, and technical details for modernization.
• Perform technical calculations ensuring feasibility and compliance with standards.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, material requirements, and pricing.
• Define project scope and prepare accurate technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Installation, and Field teams.
• Provide technical support during proposals and tenders.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations and safety standards.
