Job summary

TK Elevator is seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical engineer to lead modernization projects. You will review site data, design and draft modifications with AutoCAD, and ensure compliance with EN 81-20/50 standards. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams is required.

The role emphasizes cost estimation, budgeting, and preparing technical documentation for tender processes and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in elevator modernization, technical design, engineering, estimation, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of elevator modernization processes and systems.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD for detailed technical drawings.
• Solid knowledge of EN 81-20 and EN 81-50 and relevant elevator safety regulations.
• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, material take-offs, and project pricing.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret site survey reports and technical findings from field teams.
• Assess existing elevator system conditions and identify modernization solutions per project requirements.
• Prepare and revise mechanical and electrical drawings for modernization projects using AutoCAD.
• Develop layout drawings, shaft plans, and technical details for modernization applications.
• Perform technical calculations and ensure feasibility and standards compliance.
• Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and material requirements from site data.
• Define scope of modernization projects and prepare technical documentation and bills of quantities.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Installation, and Field teams during quotation and project prep.
• Provide technical support during customer proposal and tender stages.
• Ensure designs comply with elevator regulations and safety standards.

• Provide technical support during customer proposal and tender preparation stages.

Who we are looking for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in elevator modernization, technical design, engineering, estimation, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of elevator modernization processes, including the assessment and replacement or adaptation of mechanical, electrical, control, drive, door, car, shaft, and safety systems.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to prepare and interpret detailed technical drawings.
• Solid knowledge of EN 81-20 and EN 81-50, as well as relevant elevator safety regulations and technical standards.
• Ability to interpret field survey data and convert site findings into technically feasible modernization solutions.
• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting, material take-offs, and project pricing.
• Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
• Preferably holding a relevant SMM Certificate (Independent Engineering and Consultancy Certificate).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and cross-functional communication skills.
