General Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a reputable university.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in mechanical and sheet metal design.
- Technical & Domain Expertise:
- Strong expertise in technical drawing standards, application-driven projects, and detailed technical design.
- Solid domain knowledge in materials, electrical systems, automation, and manufacturing processes.
- Software Proficiency:
- Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX.
- High proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Preferred: Familiarity with engineering simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ADAMS, ANSYS).
- Language Skills: Advanced written and spoken English (capable of delivering technical presentations and actively engaging in business discussions).
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following core duties:
- Product Development: Lead and execute engineering projects focused on modifying existing product lines or designing new products from the ground up.
- Design Optimization: Mature part designs from conceptualization through to the final product, optimizing for quality, cost, dimensional accuracy, and functionality.
- Technical Sales Support: Provide comprehensive technical expertise and support to the sales department for international sales opportunities.
- Feasibility & Custom Design: Conduct specialized design and feasibility studies to fulfill customized sales requirements.
- Process Improvement: Actively contribute to internal process optimization and workflow enhancements.
- Validation & Documentation:
- Plan and execute mechanical/structural testing and validation activities.
- Prepare comprehensive production drawings, assembly guides, and integration documentation.
- Manufacturing Oversight:
- Evaluate the manufacturability of components and follow up on production processes when required.
- Investigate, evaluate, and resolve non-conformities arising during manufacturing or operation.
- ERP & Financial Reporting: Utilize ERP Project Management modules to perform cost analyses and present detailed reports to senior management.
- Global Communication: Prepare and present technical topics in English during international project and business meetings.
