Job summary

Sanipak, a leading employer with 1600+ employees, is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in the İzmir/Manisa region. You will read technical drawings, diagnose malfunctions, and implement preventive maintenance plans with cross-functional teams.

You’ll conduct root cause analyses, prepare reports, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements including spare parts optimization and small to mid-size projects. English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance and ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience in troubleshooting and failure analysis; manage mechanical breakdowns and preventive maintenance planning.
• Prepare reports/analyses on area of responsibility and identify inefficiencies.
• Conduct root cause analyses and lead cross-functional teams for sustainable solutions.
• Develop and manage predictive and preventive maintenance plans.
• Knowledge of bearings, chains, belts, gears, fans, couplings, lubrication, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Contribute to spare parts optimization and manage small/medium projects.

What do we expect from our new team member?

• Preferably have experience in mechanical maintenance or investment/design projects and be able to read technical drawings.
• Preferably have experience in troubleshooting and failure analysis, and be capable of managing mechanical breakdowns and preventive maintenance planning.
• Prepare reports and analyses related to the area of responsibility, identify inefficiencies such as maintenance costs and equipment failures, and propose improvement actions.
• Identify development opportunities, conduct root cause analyses, and lead cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions.
• Develop and manage predictive and preventive maintenance plans.
• Have knowledge of mechanical components and systems including bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, fans, couplings, lubrication, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Contribute to spare parts optimization initiatives.
• Manage small- and medium-scale projects using project management methodologies.
• Foster team motivation and build strong interpersonal relationships.

What kind of teammate are we looking for?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good command of English.
• Preferably experienced in the SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) module.
• Residing in or willing to relocate to the İzmir or Manisa region.
