Job summary

Amcor Izmir site is seeking an Electrical Electronical Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance on electrical, electronic and automation equipment within Operations/Production. This role requires hands-on experience in PLCs, VFDs, sensors and control systems, with a focus on reliability and safety.

The candidate should have at least three years in manufacturing maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and good Turkish and English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of three years of relevant maintenance engineering experience.
• Proven experience with PLC/automation systems; Siemens/Allen-Bradley familiarity preferred.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics, motor drives, and industrial protocols.
• Good Turkish and English written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical, electronic, and automation equipment.
• Diagnose faults in PLCs, HMIs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), sensors, and industrial control systems.
• Ensure maintenance and reliability of electrical panels, power distribution systems, motors, and instrumentation equipment.
• Monitor MTBF, MTTR, and OEE; lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enhance maintenance practices in line with TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Implement predictive maintenance techniques such as thermal imaging and energy analysis.
• Coordinate effectively with external service providers and supplier partners.
• Manage spare parts and maintenance inventory to ensure optimal availability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with electrical safety standards, OHS requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Prepare, maintain, and update maintenance documentation, technical drawings, and performance reports.
• Provide technical support during new investments, equipment upgrades, and commissioning activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an accredited university
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in maintenance engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments
• Proven experience with PLC and industrial automation systems; familiarity with Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent platforms is preferred
• Strong technical knowledge of power electronics, motor drives, and industrial communication protocols (e.g. Profibus, Profinet, Modbus)
• Working knowledge of TPM principles and ISO 9001 quality management systems
• Good command of both written and spoken Turkish & English
• Strong analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem solving and root cause analysis (RCA)
• Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills

JOB DESCRIPTION
