Job summary

Motherson SAS is seeking an Indirect Purchasing Buyer to manage daily activities for our Kocaeli plants and collaborate with the Global Indirect Purchasing team. The role covers PRs, POs, supplier follow-up, RFQs, and contract implementation.

You will develop supplier strategies, drive cost reductions, and support cross-plant initiatives while working with IT, MRO, facilities, and real estate categories. Strong SAP and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment, including indirect purchasing.
• Experience in indirect purchasing categories such as IT, PPE, MRO, Real Estate & Leasing, etc.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily indirect purchasing activities: PRs, POs, supplier follow-up, SAP processes.
• Handle RFQs, e-auctions, supplier negotiations, sourcing decisions, and contract implementation.
• Develop supplier strategies and manage the supplier panel across plants.
• Drive cost reductions through negotiation, benchmarking, standardization, and optimization.
• Collaborate with local plant departments and Global IDP team; support cross-plant initiatives.
• Monitor contract compliance, supplier performance and purchasing audits.
• Support new program launches and purchasing objectives related to cost, quality and timing.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization.

We are looking for an Indirect Purchasing Buyer to manage purchasing activities for our plants in Kocaeli, working closely with local stakeholders and the Global Indirect Purchasing team. The role combines daily indirect purchasing operations, sourcing and supplier management, contract management and contribution to cross-plant purchasing initiatives. The position will directly report to the Global Indirect Purchasing Head.

Tasks

• Manage daily indirect purchasing activities, including purchase requisitions (PRs), purchase orders (POs), supplier follow-up and SAP purchasing processes.
• Manage RFQs, e-auctions, supplier negotiations, sourcing decisions and contract implementation in line with Global purchasing procedures.
• Develop supplier strategies, manage the supplier panel and identify synergies across plants and suppliers.
• Drive cost reductions through negotiation, benchmarking, standardization, consumption reduction and technical optimization.
• Work closely with local plant departments and the Global IDP team; support cross-plant and international purchasing initiatives as business needs require.
• Follow up corporate contract compliance, supplier performance and relevant purchasing audits.
• Support new program launches and purchasing objectives related to cost, quality and timing.
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and purchasing improvements.

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of purchasing experience in an industrial environment, including relevant indirect purchasing activities.
• Experience in indirect purchasing categories such as IT, Industrial Equipment & MRO, Facility Management, Real Estate & Leasing, Building & Construction, Professional Services, Energy & Utilities, and PPE & Industrial Supplies.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including reporting and presentation preparation.
• Experience in RFQs, supplier management, contract negotiation and cost optimization, with an understanding of TCO, purchasing financials and savings calculations.
• English communication skills at B1 level or above, with the ability to work effectively with an international team.
• Strong communication, collaboration, ownership and results orientation.
• Professional purchasing qualifications and automotive industry experience would be considered advantages.
