Job summary

Dinex is seeking a Senior Strategic Buyer for its Cerkezkoy, Turkey team to develop and execute sourcing strategies for local direct and indirect spend, drive cost-down programs and build strategic supplier partnerships in an international environment.

You will manage RFQs, supplier negotiations, and KPIs, while aligning with Global Procurement and ensuring compliance with APQP, 8D problem solving and ISO standards. Willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Min. 8 years’ procurement experience in production industry with strong commercial mindset.
• Proven track record of delivering strategic sourcing and cost reduction projects.
• Fluent in English verbal and written; experience with APQP, 8D problem solving, project management.

Responsibilities

For our local Team in Cerkezkoy, Turkey Dinex is looking for Strategic Buyer to be responsible for sourcing right suppliers to deliver cost down projects within the direct and indirect categories.

The position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting the continued growth of Dinex Turkey. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the regional supply base, establish strategic supplier partnerships and contribute to building a world-class procurement organization from the ground up.

Reporting directly to the General Manager of Dinex Turkey and functionally to Global Procurement organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for local Direct and Indirect suppliers and supporting regional procurement initiatives. You will continuously seek cost-down opportunities, drive continuous improvement and development of suppliers to deliver successful PPAP. You must be prepared to travel when needed. You are ready to take responsibility for and meet ambitious targets in an environment of fast decision making.

Primary Tasks

• Ownership of strategy and negotiations for locally managed direct and indirect spend within the agreed Global/Local split.
• Setting up right procurement strategy for logistics and transportation for EU OEM division.
• Development and execution of local supplier cost-down roadmaps.
• Leading local RFQs and OPEX procurement projects in close cooperation with the business.
• Supplier negotiations and commercial improvements.
• Management of local procurement KPIs, including savings and payment terms.
• Implementation of Vision Zero audit actions and Procurement standards.
• Identification of additional cost and value opportunities together with Global Procurement.
• Support for Global Procurement strategies and new product launches at local level.
• Monitor raw material market trends and identify sourcing opportunities.
• Participate in supplier business reviews and performance management.

Competences

• Min. 8 years’ procurement experience in production industry with strong commercial mindset.
• Proven track record of delivering strategic sourcing and cost reduction projects.
• Solid experience in terms of CNC machined parts, sheet assemblies and steel raw materials procurement categories.
• Experience in Capital Investments, Indirect Procurement and Transportation & Logistics.
• Understanding of Purchase to Pay process and procurement tools which support the process.
• Outstanding organization, communication, data analysis and negotiation skills.
• Fluent in English verbal and written.
• Experienced with APQP, claim handling, 8D problem solving, project management.
• Knowledge and experienced with standards as IATF 16959 and ISO9001.
• Understanding of health & safety and environmental practices.
• Experience working in an international company, within matrix structure.
