Job summary

Schaeffler Turkey Endüstri ve Otomotiv Ticaret Limited Sirketi seeks a procurement professional to identify Turkish suppliers, manage RFQ requests, and coordinate with European divisions. The role requires strong supplier communication, familiarity with SAP, and a drive to learn international purchasing processes.

The candidate should hold a degree in engineering or related fields, have at least 5 years of procurement experience, and be fluent in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Experience with RFQ processes and supplier communications is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and related platforms.
• Strong communication and coordination skills; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Identify suppliers on the Turkish market according to SCHAEFFLER Group needs.
• Initiate preliminary communication with local suppliers by sending necessary documents.
• Issue price quotation requests to selected suppliers.
• Follow up on RFQ requests and address clarifications.
• Collaborate with divisions and European plants on local supplier management.
• Travel to suppliers with colleagues from divisions and units.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Identification of suppliers on the Turkish market according to the SCHAEFFLER Group's needs;
• Ensure preliminary communication with the selected local suppliers by sending the necessary documents (NDA, CoC) for further collaboration;
• Issuing price quotation requests to the chosen suppliers;
• Follow up on RFQ requests and address any clarification needs;
• Collaborate with divisions, business units, and purchasing plants in Europe regarding the management of local suppliers;
• Visit the suppliers together with colleagues from the divisions, business units, and subregion.

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related fields;
• Min 5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing;
• Understanding of RFQ processes, cost drivers, and supplier communication;
• Ability to Read and Interpret Basic Technical Drawings;
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and platforms such as SupplyON is an advantage;
• Strong communication and coordination skills;
• Good command of English (written & spoken);
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn international purchasing processes.
